The Dominican Republic Jazz Festival 24th Edition, presented by FEDUJAZZ and the Ministry of Tourism, will return for two nights of free concerts in Cabarete, Dominican Republic on November 11 & 12, 2022. This legendary event resumes after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, offering live music, culture, and the arts.

Celebrating a rich history spanning over two decades, the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival welcomes internationally acclaimed artists every year.

There is general admission with seating and a VIP area for ticket purchase and proceeds to benefit Fedujazz Dominican Republic

The concerts are on Cabarete beach, in front of Pomodoro restaurant. All Dominican Republic Jazz Festival shows are free with general admission with seating. VIP tickets and priority seating are available for purchase. Proceeds of VIP ticket sales benefit FEDUJAZZ, the music education foundation of the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival.

The festival line-up will include the great Puerto Rican flutist and Latin Grammy winner Nestor Torres, along with his band Sistema Temperado. Also performing will be Equatoguinean-Spanish singer, Buika, who stands out in different musical genres such as flamenco, jazz, tango, and boleros. Grupo Bonyé from the Dominican Republic will perform with a repertoire that includes son, guaracha, montuno, traditional son, salsa, salve, and merengue.

The Dominican Republic Jazz Festival produces a free, world-class event on a grand stage on the beach in Cabarete Bay with internationally acclaimed musicians, and free music activities during the day for students. One of the premier cultural events in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival has enjoyed participation by prestigious GRAMMY Award winners such as Esperanza Spalding, Chuck Mangione, Chucho Valdes, Arturo Sandoval, John Patitucci, and Joe Lovano among others.

FEDUJAZZ provides free music education for the youth of the Dominican Republic. Currently, there are one hundred students attending free music classes at the foundation’s center in Cabarete. Hundreds of schoolchildren from the North Coast of the Dominican Republic also attend educational music workshops with renowned musicians performing at the jazz festival each year.
